The nose is very sweet with notes of fudge, vanilla, lemon sweets, lots of other kind of sweets and something that makes me think of a sweet dessert wine or soft rum. Hints of some soft spices and ginger but more in the back of the sweetness.
On the palate even more fresh fruit notes get added to the mix. Where I had more candied fruit sweet notes on the nose, it now changes in fresh apples, pears, plums, oranges, cherries and strips of black liquorish candy.
The medium length finish has some soft wood spice, vanilla, honey and cake notes coming through just as I found before on the nose in the back. A sticky sweet fruity dram, that keeps reminding me more of that soft rum or very sweet wine then whisky and a bit too sweet for me but still a lovely thing to enjoy. Thanks for sharing the sample Glenmorangie!
