On the nose I find notes of a pine forrest, heather, grasses and woody herbs. Some heavier floral notes of hyacinths, roses, horse hip, hint of lavender and some strong cherry wood notes. Becomes a bit smoother with time and the strong floral notes go to the background with the vanilla pudding with heavy forrest fruit jam and clotted cream notes appearing more and more. A hint of bitterness from unripe berries keeps coming through also. When diluted a bit the nose becomes softer and less heavy & bitter. The floral is pushed back a bit and citrus and menthol freshness is released.
The palate is much the same as the nose having a thick mixture of fruit, floral, sweet and creamy notes. A medium length finish with again that light bitter note of unripe berries popping up through the sweetness. When adding a bit of water the palate gives me a more balanced feeling and becomes soft and sweet. The finish seems to become a bit shorter but the bitter unripe berries are not so strongly present now anymore. Scoring me an 8 out of 10. Lovely to have the chance to explore another Mackmyra expression...
