Glencadam - 21 year old

Visiting the Glencadam recently a possibility was given to have a closer look at their range of expressions. This whisky is their 21 year old bottled at 46% non chill filtered and not coloured. Thanks guys for the sample option!

The nose has some fresh notes of citrus. Sweetness of raisins, vanilla, honey, fruit syrup, mango juice, gingerbread with butter and cookie dough.

On the palate next to the sweet warm raisins and cranberries I can feel some lime bitterness on the edges together with dry cinnamon, oranges, stone fruits, honey, brioche, pepper and some dry tobacco in the back.

A middle length finish that shows a bit tobacco dryness between the sweet fruit and vanilla notes. Sweet and fresh dram that scores me an  7,5/10. Lovely to explore more of this distillery!
