A while back we received a sample from Whisky Discovery of the Inchmurrin 21 year old, bottled at 46%. Recently there was an #InchmurrinWhisky twitter tasting where we also cracked this one open to try it along side the other expressions.
On the nose I got some freshness, citrus, green grass and a feeling of it being a bit young strangely enough. Vanilla, some spices, Victoria sponge cake, banana, red apple, lemon and cinnamon.
From the palate I get citrus, creamy, vanilla, gummy bears and dense fruit notes from blackcurrant, apples, pears, gooseberries and cranberries. The finish is medium sweet with a bit dry cardamon and dark cocoa powder. Scoring me an 7 out of 10. Thanks for sharing Dave!
