Glenrothes - Select Reserve

Making some notes on the Select Reserve from the Glenrothes distillery. This is what they tell us at the website about it
John Ramsay, our Malt Master, has crafted a selection of The Glenrothes which typifies the distillery house character - ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and hints of spice.
The Select Reserve is a first for us. A non-Vintage-specific selection carefully chosen by John and produced to the same high quality standards as The Glenrothes Vintage selections; only here we select and vat from casks from different years.
On the nose I get stewed apples, citrus, soft spices, gooseberry, white pepper and pear notes. The palate is light sweet, red apples, sulphur, gooseberry, orange, grapefruit, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon, marmalade, light whole grain cookies and banana peal.
The finish is not that long with some grapes and lemon. Scoring me an 6,5/10 due to for me a bit too high on the citrus and sulphur notes in total... It gets more fruity and sweeter with time but still a lot of the other notes around.
