Clynelish - 1995 - 17 YO - Tasting Notes

Nose
Citrus, white grapes, white pepper, honey, fresh, caramel

Palate
Citrus, sweet, apricots, raisin, vanilla, milk chocolate, caramel, bees wax

Finish
Bit short, and leaves you with a mouthfeel of grape pit bitterness

Score
5.5 out of 10. Have had better editions of Clynelish must say. Bit bitter and too much citrus. Distilled in 1995, and bottled in 2013. This 17 year old expression is bottled at 45,2% by Yves Boode. It has been in a refill bourbon cask, and 285 bottles were made.

My husband has found out that whisky shop Yves Boode has, together with importer Bresser and Timmer, imported a series of whiskies bottled by A.D Rattray. This series, called The Specialists' Choice are all single casks, natural colour and non-chill filtered.
