Tomintoul Tlàth

Recently Tomintoul send over a sample of their expression called Tlàth (pronounced “Tlah” and is Gaelic meaning –gentle, mellow). It for sure is a gentle and mellow dram bottled at 40%. An enjoyable one in their line of different expressions.

On the soft nose I find notes of citrus, white pepper, vanilla, toffee, sponge cake, hint of mint, ginger, tea biscuits (the ones with the sugary coatings) and gummi bears. 

The palate is much like as the nose is with some added warm red apple, raisins and prunes, some darker sweet notes, nutmeg and oak notes. A balanced dram with a medium length finish with some soft spices. Scoring it an 7,5/10. Thanks for sharing it Tomintoul!
