On the nose I get sweet barley, floor wax, nuts, corn, pot-pourri, laurel, clove, marjoram, woody and herbal notes. Some floral notes of roses and lavender combined with some gooseberry, heavenly burned toast and vanilla.
The palate is a bit herbal and also sweet. It is a mixture between de bitterness of the herbal side and the soft sweet honeyed fruitiness on the other side. Oranges, lime, grapefruit, red apple, strawberries, barley, toast, creamy, vanilla, raisins and chocolate creamy bonbons.
A medium length finish with bitter nutty notes of cashew, almonds and walnuts. Scoring me an 7,5 out of 10.
Nice review. I quite enjoyed this malt, had a good feel, nothing artificial..
ReplyDeleteThanks! It indeed had something... Tullibardine is not a huge favourite of mine yet but this one was nice... :-)
