The Green Welly Stop - blended whisky

From The Green Welly Stop comes this blended whisky at 40%. A lovely stop to make when travelling through Scotland.

The nose is malty and sweet, light fruit notes, conifer, grassy and some nuts. Soft spices and sweetness on the palate together with the malt notes that I also found on the nose. Red apple, pear juice, banana, raisin, vanilla, coriander, dry sponge cake and a bit of star anise.

Medium length and very sweet finish that ends in demerara sugar feeling on the teeth together with black liquerish. Scoring me an 7 out of 10. Nice dram, but a bit too grassy on the nose and palate for me. Thanks to the Green Welly Stop for sharing a sample to explore...
