The Ulimate - Bowmore 2002/2014 - Tasting Notes

Nose
Sweet, dark fruits, dates, light salty and meaty notes with fresh raspberry and red berries. Fruit sweetness, white pepper, creme brulee, vanilla, soft leather, some peat and some light liquorice wood notes.

Palate
Minty freshness and fruity sweetness mixed together at first. Vanilla sweet, liquorice, raisin, hint of leather, some dried fruits notes and some mango, and pineapple tropical freshness. Dense fruitcake, chocolate and coconut with red summer fruits.

Finish
Medium length finish with soft clover honey, chocolate, custard and raisins.

Score
7,5 out of 10. A very nice Bowmore bottling for sure. Distilled in 02/10/2002 and bottled at 10/03/2014. This one is matured in a Hogshead #2188 for 11 years. Bottle no. 43/365 we have here is bottled at 46%, and natural colour and non chillfiltered.
