Tamdhu 2004 - The Ultimate - Tasting Notes

Nose
Bit of new make on the nose, bit raw, but fresh. Red forrest fruits, vanilla, sweet, toffee, raisin, orange, some citrus notes, red grapefruit, lemon sweets, green apples. Fresh, sweet and bit young...

Palate
Fruity, fresh and sweet with a little bit of spices in the mix.
Grapes, raisin, vanilla, dried apricots, pepper, green herbs, floral, orchard fruits, green apple, red forrest fruits... Nothing really jumps out at cask strength, it is sweet. Diluted it a great deal with water to see what comes more to the surface, and the fruity and sweet notes then come more to the front.

Finish
Not a very long finish, bit dry bitter coffee notes combined with some toffee

Score
6,5 out of 10 for now. Find this one a bit strange one, I don't dislike, but not a fan either, is it a bit young or is it just fresh and fruity? Not sure. Got more in the bottle, might come back to this one... Not getting the Sherry Butt rich notes back much in this one...
