Vesper is a special cuvee from Delamain, with the cognacs used all coming from the Grande Champagne area and having an average age of around 35 years old. After assemblage, the blend is returned to oak casks for a further two years to marry.
Nose
Sweet fruits, vanilla, ginger, apricots, soft, sweet white wine/champagne, something nutty in the back, but delicate and sweet, has a satin feel almost on the nose
Palate
Heavy on the palate at first with wood, and some darker/heavier spices combined with some walnuts. Then it makes place for some sweeter notes, and some dark fruits who have been set in heavy syrup.
Finish
Ends in a bit leather and tobacco mouthfeel, with some vanilla sweetness in the back.

I am not very much know with cognac to be honest, been mostly whisky, and so this was a very new and good experience for me. Wanted to explore more also the other spirits who are out there. This lovely sample was send to me by Shai Applbaum, this being his favorite personal cognac. He had a guessing game on Twitter and this sample was a bonus to me because I won the game. What a nice surprise must say, enjoyed it very much! Thanks Shai for this opportunity!

Just love the nose, expected some more of the lighter notes to set through in the palate. That surprised me a little bit must say. From sugar sweet light fruit notes on the nose to heavy red fruits set in thick syrup, combined with the leather and tobacco.
