Hibiki 12 YO - Tasting Notes

Nose
Blossom, sweet, fruit, fresh, pineapple, honey, caramel, vanilla, prunes, creamy, eucalyptus, pine, orange marmalade, soft nut notes, granola

It seems to get sweeter while it warms up, and getting more sweet ripe fruits notes and marzipan. Green herbs, the orange note is very strong... but it is feeling a bit like a chocolate/orange sweet.

Palate
Sweet, floral, subtle, black tea, blossom, rose pedals, honey, warm, fruit, nuts, tropical tones, vanilla, and just a hint of caramel. Creamy, spicy, pepper, red warm apple, toffee

Finish
Sweet and black tea, medium long
red hot peppers on the finish with honey. Hot, sweet but also smooth... Has a lot of spices in it, warm cinnamon, cocoa and honey on the finish, warm.... nice!! And in the end some coffee bitternes comes through.

Score
7 out of 10. Tasted this one at two different occasions. And had totally different experiences must say. An other proof again that the surrounding and mood when drinking a whisky is very important.
