On the nose I find some concentrated apple juice notes, sweet soft honey and toffee. Bit of pear juice and yellow raisins. Roses, light floral notes, hint of lemon, light cereals and soft vanilla sponge cake.
The palate is sweet, honeyed, fruity, toffee and a bit of wood notes coming through. Bit waxy, mace, vanilla, nuts, coffee, marmalade and a bit of dry white grape skin and pits bitter...
A middle length finish and scoring me an 7,5/10. This whisky feels young but fresh and sweet. Maybe not a lot of cask influence in this... Need to taste more Longmorn expressions to find the common notes and differences. More education needed :-)
