We only use Scotland’s finest 18-year old malt and grain whiskies to create this full, smooth and creamy blend. We then return the blend to oak casks and age it to perfection. The result, a richer whisky with a long, lingering finish.
Nosing this I find some soft spices, bread dough, green apples, grassy, and hay at first. After a bit it becomes more honey sweet with thick vanilla pudding. Fruit notes come forward after a while in the glass. Sweet rich notes of red berries, raspberries, strawberries, red apple, warm banana, raisin, dash of cumin and soft creamy milk chocolate (just a hint in the back)
The palate is much like the nose and very sweet. Some dry baking spices, dried fruits and some tangerines I can also find in it. Medium length finish, sweet and hint of cumin again and some dry cocoa powder. Scoring this one an 6,5 out of 10. It is a nice dram but for a whisky of this price I find it a bit lacking depth?
