Glen Scotia - Single Cask DE - Tasting Notes

Had a chance to taste this lovely expression in the #GlenScotia Twitter Tasting recently. This Single Cask Distillery Edition is bottled at 56,1% and only available at the distillery sadly.

Nose
Ripe passionfruit, red apples, plums, peaches, grapefruit, vanilla, nutmeg, marmite

Palate
Thick honey cream, vanilla, raisin, fruits, red apple, banana, dried fruits, apricots, dried pineapple, syrupy, fruity, sweet, stwed fruits and caramel.

Finish
Medium length finish with some grapefruit bitternes in it

Score
Scoring this one an 7+ out of 10 for sure. It feels balanced but also far too sweet like sticking a spoon full with honey and a spoon with chocolate spread together in your mouth. There is some citrus bitterness going on in here also that makes it fresh but also gives it a rough edge that I am not sure about.
