Glenfarclas - 1988 - 25 year old - Tasting Notes

This was the Spirit of Speyside Festival bottling in 2014.
Sadly this one was lost to us in "the Speyside incident" but we got a chance to taste it at the WFNN VIP session

Nose
Fresh, sweet, dried fruits, vanilla, bit spice, red pepper, red apple, caramel, pipe tobacco, chocolate

Palate
See the notes on the nose, very similar. Red pepper
creamy, cocoa powder, vanilla raisins, dried fruits, fruit cake, little hint of dry tobacco & leather

Finish
Medium to long finish, creamy feel to it.

Score
Nice and full on the nose, but light watery note on the palate. Bit sulphur note detected on the nose and finish. It is a great dram so scoring it an 7,5 / 10, but must say that my anticipation was higher towards this bottling, no wow effect in my mind...
