Borgoe Single Barrel 15 yo

At the Whisky & Rum aan Zee Festival I got the opportunity to try this rum from Suriname and make some quick tasting notes on it. The nose reminded me of some BBQ pork sauce spiced meaty flavors. Sugary sweet and honey, a bit like thick american BBQ sauce.

The palate was filled with strong spice, clove and some baking spices. It was rich, vanilla and marshmallows.

The finish is of medium length and is sweet and honey at first then marmalade, nuts and a bit bitter after a bit.

This I gave a quick score of 6,5 out of 10.
