Laphroaig Triple Wood - Tasting Notes

Nose
Fudge, salty, vanilla, toast, roasted nuts, dates, creamy, sweet, apricots, raisin, and tropical fruit notes

Palate
Sweet, apricots, honey, vanilla, raisin, mint, dates, creamy, chocolate, toast, fruit, little bit of wood notes, and some black current. It is full of fruit notes combined with a hint of wood and nuts. Some smoke in there, but for sure not on front, the sweet notes come first.

Finish
Soft sweet medium length finish. Bit chocolate and toast flavours combined with some fruit notes linger on.

Score
This one packs a real punch when taking the first taste of it. But it is mostly sweet and fresh, and not at all very smoky. Beautiful and balanced dram. Very jummy and gets a 7,5 out of 10 from me. Getting to start to love Laphroaig more and more.... Who would have thought that a year ago? Then I just could not appreciate peat and smoke. The more I taste of it, and get to know the flavours hiding behind the peat, the more I get to love it.
