Laphroaig Quarter Cask - Tasting Notes
Nose
Smoke, thick, peat, eucalyptus, forest fruits, herbal, heather, butter, sweet, some salty seaweed... BBQ meaty notes are big in here. Like big pieces of meat and ham, with some good herbal and spice marinade. Or some good Serano ham...
Palate
Warm and thick syrupy. BBQ flavours going round again with peat smoke infused. Bit earthy and mineral. Herbal notes coming to the top, with a bit of freshness of lime.
Finish
Long finish and bit dryness in there, bit sweet forest fruits combined with peaty smoke. Ending in a herby and creamy mouthfeel.
Score
7,5 out of 10. Nice, very nice...
