Glen Grant - 21 YO - Douglas Laing Old Particular - Tasting Notes

Nose
Dark red fruits and a bit wood, ginger, vanilla, raisin, figs, prunes, a bit leather/ tobacco feel to it. Sweet, wintery spices, cinnamon, nutmeg. More thickness and almost smoky ham feel to it. But also some christmas cake/dense fruit cake, dark chocolate, liqeurish

palate
Sweet, honey sweet at first, then some pepper and warm spices like a good dense fruit cake. Red (warm) fruit, berry, blackcurrent, red berry, orange, also some fresh lemon notes in the back with a banana/cocoa note. Like a good fruit cake, with also some cereal notes in the back coming through and mocca combined with toffee

Finish
Medium length finish, sweet and chocolate, and fruity

score
Oh my there is so much fruit, sweet and yumminess in this one. Give it a 8 out of 10.
Beautiful dram. Had a sample of this one in a Twitter Tasting a couple of other very fine drams.
