Glen Els - The Journey - Tasting Notes

Finish
Dry finish
Score
6 out of 10. This is a three to four year old bottling at 43% ABV. I was nosing it and nosing it, and not much seemed to be coming from this one sadly. Had a taste of the 5 yo Rivesaltes also, what also had some of the same flavors, but quite a bit fruitier. This one definitely needs some time in the barrel. They used for the Journey a combination of different barrels Cream-Sherry, Tawny Port, Madeira, Marsala, Malaga, and GrandCru Bordeaux. It is meant to show the journey of this whisky.
