Looking through my notes, when updating my festival notes/comments, I fount that I tasted some expressions of the Benriach beside the full tasting notes done.
Tasted some Benriach at the festival in Leiden. This was a single cask bottling for whiskysite.nl, 1976 release, 36 yr old, refil Hogshead. Gave this one a 9 out of 10. Was a beauty! Not only my birthyear, but also something I just had to enjoy slowly...
At the Damster Festival I had some the chance to taste some more expressions of the Benriach.
Here I tasted the 16 year old Sauterness Cask finish, what I gave a 6,5. The Tawny Port 15 year old also got a 6,5. The Sherrywood 12 year old got a 7, that one I found the best of the night for sure of the Benriach expressions...
