The nose has at first a lot of powdered sugar and vanilla cream bun sweetness to it. Then it changes to raisin, sultana and hazelnut bread together with candied ginger and soft cinnamon rolls. Soft notes of marzipan and Turkish delight combined with a bit of lemon, orange, pink grapefruit and poached pear.
Palate starts with a lot of citrus freshness and mint tea with honey. Notes from the nose absolutely come back on the palate also in a soft and balanced feeling. A good length sweet finish on it that reminds me of prunes, salty fudge chocolate, breakfast cereal, Christmas cake, warm banana and apple strudel. It is a creamy, sweet and fresh, very fruity and honeyed dram. Scoring it an 8/10. Thanks Kingsbarns Distillery for the sample!
