Young, new make, tannins, wood, red wine, red fruity, sweet. Feels like drinking a red wine with alcohol.
Palate
Young, white pepper, sweet, raisin, vanilla, bit dry wood, red fruits, berry, black current. There is a bit of mint freshness in the back, with some orange, and some nutmeg and black tea bitter. Bit sweet multifruit juice with some tutti frutti and chocolate on the palate. But all not strong. It feels a bit weak and watery
Finish
Weak, not long, bit wattery, strawberry ice cream

6 out of 10. Not a fan of red wine cask in combination with the not deep flavours of the new make. Red fruity, and sweet but with the red wine mouthfeel that I dont like much. The 40% and age does not mix in a good way here
