Greenore Single Grain 8 YO - Tasting Notes
Nose
Vanilla, tangerine, malty, creamy, caramel, orange peel, sweet, mellow, not very strong on the nose. Some fruity tones, cinnamon, granny smith, rasin.
Taste
A bit coffee/dark chocolate bitter in the beginning. Sharp, cocoa dry, laurel, mint, creamy, grains, liquorish, a bit woody, plums. With a bit of water added makes it come more alive on the fruity tones on the nose. The taste changes completely from the above separate tones to a very strong liquorish taste / salmiak, all the separate components mixed in a bowl, just one flavour...
Finish
Dry, short
Score
6 out of 10. Not a difficult dram, has some different aroma's in it, but is not complex.
